A North American long-haul carrier operating 200 heavy-duty trucks has announced the results of its fuel-saving retrofit project. The company’s vehicles average over 200,000 km annually, with fuel costs representing the largest operating expense.

In 2025, the company replaced all vehicle batteries with JSTARY 48V lithium batteries and optimized start-stop systems. Following the retrofit, average fleet fuel consumption dropped by 8%, saving over 100,000 liters of fuel annually – over $150,000 in cost savings. The battery’s 10-year design life also eliminates replacement needs for years to come.

“This investment paid for itself within eight months,” said the Purchasing Director. “JSTARY batteries not only save fuel but also eliminate the hassle of frequent lead-acid replacements. Our finance department is very satisfied.”
