A mid-sized German delivery company has announced the results of its fleet battery retrofit project. The company operates dozens of urban delivery trucks that start and stop hundreds of times daily, resulting in high fuel consumption and maintenance costs.
In early 2024, the company replaced all vehicle batteries with JSTARY 48V lithium batteries, integrated with the vehicle start-stop systems. Following the retrofit, overall fleet fuel consumption dropped by over 12%, thanks to the lighter battery and efficient start-stop operation. At current fuel prices, annual fuel savings exceed €30,000. The maintenance-free nature of the batteries has also saved over 200 hours of workshop labor annually.
“JSTARY not only provided reliable battery products but also custom-designed dimensions and terminals to fit our vehicle spaces,” said the company’s Technical Director. “Installation went smoothly. Drivers report faster starts and longer AC runtime. We are extremely satisfied with the results.”
