Australian Mining Company Adopts JSTARY Smart Batteries, Cuts Downtime by 75% in 45℃ Mine Site

A major mining company in Western Australia has announced the results of its vehicle battery upgrade project at a mine site. Located in the inland desert region, summer surface temperatures frequently exceed 45℃. Traditional lead-acid batteries lasted less than a year, with frequent replacements causing high maintenance costs and vehicle downtime.

In 2025, the company replaced batteries in transport trucks and service vehicles at the site with JSTARY 48V lithium batteries, integrated with a smart monitoring platform. Following the upgrade, average battery life is expected to extend to over five years, with battery-related downtime reduced by 75%. The smart monitoring system tracks the health status of each battery in real time, enabling the maintenance team to receive early alerts and schedule precise replacements.

“JSTARY batteries have demonstrated remarkable durability in harsh mine site conditions,” said the Site Equipment Maintenance Manager. “Smart monitoring has shifted us from reactive to proactive maintenance – crucial for improving operational efficiency.”
